Especially in rural area many residential buildings suffer serious damage with no consideration for the seismic design.Authors make investigation and analyze the seismic fortification of Qingdao rural residential buildings.The result shows that the setting of structural column and ring beam and the space between cross wells can not meet seismic requirements.Moreover authors propose improvement measures such as strengthening the connections of roof and wall changing the structure form setting the columns and ring beams.
