Li Shaohua2 (1.Civil Engineering Department Shanghai Jianfeng College of Career Technology Shanghai 201900 China; 2.School of Mechanics Cisil Engineering China University of Mining Technology Beijing 100083 China) Abstract:Based on constructing gravel piles in soft soil the controlling parameters of vibroflotation piles and sinking pipe piles are obtained.The quality of piles are tested with dynamic penetration tests.The test results show that both the two kind piles can be formed in soft soil with less than 15kPa un- consolidation and undrained strength.Both of the two kinds of gravel plies have high density.The uniformity of vibroflotation gravel piles is poorer than piles constructed with sinking pipe method and the length of vibroflotation gravel plies should not be longer than 10m.However the length of vibroflotation gravel plies can reach 14-15m.
