(1.Shanghai Harbour Soft Soil Treatmeni Engineering Company Shanghai 200092 China; 2.Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute Nanjing Jiangsu 210024 China) Abstract:Some recently hydraulic filled mud foundation was consolidated by vacuum preloading method based on the experimental research on the two pre-reinforcement areas whose vertical drainage body have different length.The monitoring results are analyzed including the ground surface settlement vacuum degree under the membrane and the pore water pressure.Combining with the test results of the shear strength of vane shear test and the plate loading test and the soil physical and mechanical properties acquired by geotechnical test it is concluded that the reinforcement effect of the hydraulic filled mud foundation consolidated by vacuum preloading method can be increased further by lengthening the vertical drainage body to some extent.
