113 UDC 621.825:621.85.055.25 JAPANESE INDUSTRIAL STANDARD JIS Roller Chain Shaft Couplings B1456-1989 Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the roller chain shaft couplings (hereafter referred to as the*couplings") to be used for general machinery. 2. Classification The couplings shallbe divided into 15 classes as given in the Attached Table, figures or three figures) of the roller chain and the number of sprocket teeth (the last two figures). 3. Quality 3.1 On the sprockets roller chains as well as joint pins there shall be no harmful flaws cracks or the like. 3.2 Tolerances on deflections ofeach part of sprocket relative to the center of shaft hole shall be as specified in Table 1.
