RemendationITU-TY.4906 Assessmentframeworkfordigitaltransformation ofsectorsin smart cities Summary The ultimate objective of this Remendation is to enhance the sustainability of identified priority sectors in smart cities in order to optimise economic environmental and social benefits. Cities will decide on their digital transformation priorities. For example cities might also want to encourage collaboration to deliver desired outes. This kind of engagement based on the assessment framework can incentivize industry engagement and investment. Remendation ITU-T Y.4906 contains the following: 1) Introduction of the assessment framework and its ponents 2) Identification of indicators Examples of categories of indicators to assist in this objective for the assessment frameworks include: Digital infrastructure; Digital transformation initiatives for sectors; Collaboration efforts on digital transformation; Economic environmental and social benefits according to sector digital transformation. 3) Sector assessment and analysis History Edition Remendation Study Group Unique ID* 1.0 ITU-T Y.4906 2019-07-07 20 11.1002/1000/13922 Keywords Assessment digital transformation smart sustainable cities. FOREWORD The International Telemunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field of telemunications information and munication technologies (ICTs). The ITU Telemunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical operating and tariff questions and issuing Remendations on them with a view to standardizing telemunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telemunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) which meets every four years establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which in turn produce Remendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Remendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-T's purview the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Remendation the expression "Administration" is used for conciseness to indicate both a telemunication administration and a recognized operating agency. Compliance with this Remendation is voluntary. However the Remendation may contain certain Remendation is achieved when all of these mandatory provisions are met. The words "shall" or some other obligatory language such as “must” and the negative equivalents are used to express requirements. The use of such words does not suggest that pliance with the Remendation is required of any party.
