Standard name numbers as follows: 1. Emission standard for industrial enterprises noise at boundary (GB 12348-2008) 2. Emission standard for munity noise (GB 22337-2008) According to relevant legal rules above national standard is of pulsory execution effects. The above standard will be implemented on October 1 2008. The above standard was published by "China Environmental Science Press" the content is available on Ministry of Environmental Protection website (bz. mep. gov. cn). From the implementation date of this standard “Standard of noise at boundary of industrial enterprises" (GB 12348-90) “Method of measuring noise at boundary of industrial enterprises" (GB 12349-90) will be abolished. Foreword This Law is enacted for the implementation of “Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China” and "Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Pollution From Environmental Noise" and for the purpose of preventing and d This standard is the first revision of "Standard of noise at boundary of industrial enterprises" (GB 12349-90). Compared with the primary standard this national standard is mainly revised in the following parts: Combine “Standard of noise at boundary of industrial enterprises" (GB 12348-90) and standard the name will be changed to “Emission standard for industrial enterprises noise at boundary"; Application scope background value and correction table of the standard have been revised; Supplement noise limit value measuring condition measuring point's location measuring point'’s layout and measuring record of class 0; Increased some part of terms and definitions room noise limit value background noise measurement measurement result and measurement result evaluation content This standard was firstly promulgated in 1990 and this version is the first revision. This standard was organized and drawn by the Technical Standard Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection. Application Scope This standard specifies emission limit and measuring method for industrial enterprise and fixed equipment factory noise at boundary. This standard is applicable to the noise emission management evaluation and control of the industrial enterprise. An administrative organ social group or public institution and etc. that emit noise also shall be in pliance with this standard. 2.Normative References This standard quotes the following documents or some of the clauses. For undated references the effective edition is applicable to this standard. GB 3096 Environmental quality standards for noise GB 3785 Electrical acoustic performance and testing method of sound level meter GB/T 3241 Octave and fractional-octave-band filters GB/T 15173 Acoustic calibrator GB/T Technical specification of the division of applicable district on urban environment noise GB/T 17181 Integrating-averaging sound level meter 3.Terms and Definitions The following terms and definitions are applicable to this standard. 3.1 Industrial enterprises noise Refers to the noise that impairsthe living evironment of the neighborhood produced by using fixed equipment measuring and control at the boundary in the industry producing 3.2 A-weighted sound pressure level Sound pressure level measured with A-weighted network expressed by (L) in dB (A). 3.3 Equivalent continuous A-weighted sound pressure level It refers to the energy mean of the A-weighted sound pressure level measured in the required measurement period (7) expressed by (LAr 7; Le) in dB(A). Otherwise specified particularly the noise values referred in this Standard are equivalent sound levels. As specified in the definition above the equivalent sound level is expressed as:
