Notice on Publishing the National Standard of "Code for Design of General Plan of Industrial Enterprises"
"Code for Design of General Plan of Industrial Enterprises" has been approved as a national standard with a serial number of GB 50187-2012 and will be implemented from August 1, 2012. Among which, Articles 3.0.12 (1), 3.0.13, 3.0.14 (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11), 4.6.2 (3, 4), 4.6.4, 5.6.5 (3) and 8.1.7 are pulsory, which must be enforced strictly. The original °Code for Design of General Plan of Industrial Enterprises" (GB 50187-93) shall be abolished simultaneously. This code was published by China Planning Press under the organization of the Standard Rating Research Institute of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Foreword
This code is formulated by WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited jointly with organizations concerned by revising on “Code for Design of General Plan of Industrial Enterprises (GB 50187-93) according to the requirement of “Notice on Printing Development and Revision Plan on National Engineering Construction Standards and Codes in 2006 (Group 2)" (Jian Biao [2006] No. 136). In the revision process of this code,the drafting group carried out extensive investigation, earnestly summarized the practical experience and relevant research achievements of general layout design of industrial enterprises in China in the recent decades, made reference to the domestic and foreign relevant standards according to the current laws, regulations and systems in China so as to ensure rigor and strong applicability of the revised code, and finally finalized it on the basis of extensively soliciting for opinions from relevant departments and organizations of design, production as well as colleges and universities and through repeated study, modification and review. This code prises 10 chapters and 2 appendixes with the main technical contents covering general provisions, terms, selection of plant site, general planning, general layout, green layout, main technical and economic indexes, etc. This main contents revised in this code are as follows: 1.General provisions were revised. 2.Terms were added. 3. Selection of Plant Site was revised and 1 article and 2 items were added. 4. Partial contents of the General Planning were revised; requirements for the planning & design of residential district, safety protection distance of the final bench toe rim of dumping site as well as 2 articles and 4 items were added. 5. General Layout was revised: general methods and requirements for the arrangement of workshop generating strong noise were supplemented; requirements for the arrangement of liquefied gas distribution station were added; minimum horizontal distance between the cooling tower and adjacent facilities were revised; 6 articles and 14 items were added. 6. Transport Route and Wharf Arrangement was revised: 3 articles were added in the General Requirements, 8 articles were added in Standard Gauge Railway of Enterprise; 13 articles were added in Narrow Gauge Railway of Enterprise; 10 articles and 3 items were added in Road; 2 articles and 3 items were added in Wharf of Enterprise. 7. Vertical Design was revised and 6 items were added. 8.Integrated Arangement of Pipeline was revised: the content covers general requirements, pipeline laying method and laying principle of underground pipeline; Based on the design and practical experience, the minimum horizontal distance between the underground pipeline and buildings/ structures and between underground pipelines were revised by bining relevant current national standard; the minimum vertical clearance between underground pipelines as well as the requirements for the parallel laying of above-ground pipelines to railway and roads were added.27 articles was revised, among which 4 articles and 3 items were added.
9.Green Layout was revised: green layout principle and control requirements of the ratio of green space were added; 5 articles and 2 items were added. 10. Main Technical and Economic Indexes was revised: technical economical indexes for plot ratio, investment strength, land for administration office and living service facilities and its ratio were added. The provisions printed in bold type are pulsory ones and must be enforced strictly. Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development is in charge of the administration of this code and the explanation of the pulsory provisions, China Metallurgical Construction Association is responsible for the routine management and WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited is responsible for the explanation of specific technical contents.
